CHALLENGE

– I Have Fallen, and I Can’t Get Up –

Untitled-4-01

Healthcare and Well-being is a topic that affects us all, and is relevant to every person living on this planet. We all have bodies, and we are all vulnerable to disease, poor environmental conditions, pollution and aging. As a species, we’re also fascinated with the ways technology can be used to quantify, support and enhance our frail bodies, extending our physical and mental capabilities through artificial means. We’re unique in our ability to ‘cheat’ nature in this way. Technology and Healthcare have always been intertwined and people will always need artfully designed interactive experiences to navigate, manage and facilitate these emerging technologies.

But this topic is so diverse, multi-layered, and complex, where do we even get started? How to embed a personality into Healthcare, the future of healthcare is going to provide more emotional and care into no matter its a hard device, a sensor or an app. But for example, remote monitoring is not equal to telemedicine.

THE BIG IDEA

-What Can Telemedicine D0? –

Untitled-4-01

Its a healthcare solution for treating Primary care patients at a remote location through the help of telecommunication and information technology. Telemedicine is available at multiple remote locations at the same time. Useful tool in studying and controlling the epidemics like ebola, SARS etc among doctors from around the world.

PERSONA

– Kyle Breaks His Wrist –

Each team has been assigned with a basic scenario to start with.

SCENARIO

– Opportunities to Help Kyle –

 Untitled-4-01

Our team has developed 4 scenarios with  4 possible technologies to solve different problems, some are furturistics, some are  in developing, some are very feasible. We are trying to broad our mind to think efficient, creative and fun way to solve a healthcare situation.

-KYLE & BIOSTAMP-

Untitled-4-01

Our team redeveloped one scenario with deeper details involved in. In this perscenario, there are three outcomes with different solutions happened after the same cause, Kyle had a car accident on one of his cycling trips, but all three of them are using the same technology-Biostamp. In this step, we are trying to storyboard the possibilities could happen with Kyle wearing Bipstamp.

THE TECHNOLOGY

-WHAT IS BIOSTAMP-

Untitled-4-01

Biostamp, usually refer to MC10, MC10 develops virtually invisible, conformal electronics that reshape rigid conventional electronics into thin flexible devices.

 THE OUTCOMES

– System vs. Communication –

Rethink about “telemedicine”, trying to define and provide care in the system. What will be the experience with doctor and patient in real-time conversation. We revisited the workflow, targeted out the missing part for caring beside just the system.

THE IDEATION

– Technology, Communication and Gamification Therapy –

BIOSTAMP

Biostamp has a smart detect system that can track patient’s daily health data, meanwhile can help the patient contacting hospital when meets emergency.

COMMUNICATION

Doctor-patient communication could provide real-time care to patients, eliminates unnecessary hospital visits.

GAMIFICATION

Gamification therapy motivates patient to exercise daily, meanwhile can record and transfer data for better use.
